We took a trip to visit downtown Houston and see their amazing sculptures they have on their streets. These sculptures are all done by different artists and all have an amazing and unique appearance. The first sculpture we observed was one called Geometric Mouse X. This sculpture looked a lot like a 3-D Mickey Mouse and was all red. I really enjoyed this sculpture and the fact that it was chained down to the ground even though it would be nearly imposable to move because it is extremely heavy. We looked at many more but my favorite of them all was the two brown, tall statues that appeared to have a lot of different faces on it. The faces could only be seen if you moved around the statues. Slowly you would realize that there were faces everywhere you moved around it.

Hindu Temple

The first place we visited for the humanities on the go class was a sacred Hindu temple, this temple was located near downtown Houston and was quite large. this temple was amazing, it was completely made out of only two materials. it was made out of limestone on the outside and the whole inside was made of marble.
there was carvings and sculptures everywhere you looked in the temple and the cool thing was that they were all hand carved in India and then assembled over here. our tour guide was so nice that he even let us participate in one of there worshiping, although we did have to take our shoes off and i had to where a skirt because i had worn shorts on that day, it was a fun experience.
